Dustin Linville Competes in Indiana Icebreaker at Brownstown Speedway
(March 22, 2014) Dustin Linville traveled to Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) on Saturday night as he took part in the $10,000-to-win, 17th Annual Indiana Icebreaker, which was sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS). Forty-five Super Late Models registered for battle, and via his qualifying efforts Dustin started tenth in the first heat. With the top four finishers moving onto the main event he would miss the transfer with an eighth place finish, which relegated him to the b-main. In the b-main, Linville failed to reach a transfer spot as his night came to an early end. Complete results from the Indiana Icebreaker are available at www.LucasDirt.com

Friday night's opener boasted a $4,000 prize as a talented field of thirty-four Super Late Models registered for battle. With the top eight qualifiers locking into the 40 lap feature Linville fell short of the mark, and had to run a b-main. Unfortunately, Dustin failed to reach a transfer spot in the b-main, bringing his night to early end.

Saturday evening saw the winner's purse increased to $10,000 as thirty-two entries converged on the 4/10 mile high-banked oval. Linville just missed the transfer into the main event via heat race action, but locked into the 22nd starting spot on the grid with a third place finish in the b-main. During the course of the 60 lap feature Dustin fought an ill handling race car, and eventually retired his #d8 machine early to a disappointing 23rd place finish.
