Dustin Linville Battles to Second Place Finish in Walter "Peg" Combs Memorial at 201
1(June 14, 2014) Dustin Linville returned to 201 Speedway (Sitka, Kentucky) on Saturday evening to defend his Walter "Peg" Combs Memorial title. Linville won a thrilling event in 2013, and did not disappoint the fans once again on Saturday evening for the third running of the annual event.

Dustin qualified fifth overall among eighteen Super Late Model competitors registered for the $3,000-to-win program. A third place finish in heat race action positioned him starting fifth in the 40 lap finale. When the feature went green Linville had already taken second by the fifth circuit, and set his sights on the leader. Linville used lap traffic to his advantage, assuming the point just past halfway in the race. Linville set the pace out front and looked to be on his way to Victory Lane, but lap traffic once played a factor late in the race. Seventh starting Victor Lee took the lead from Linville in the late stages of race and went on to score the victory while Linville settled in second. Michael Wright, Zack Dohm, and Michael Paul Howard rounded out the top five finishers.
