Dustin Linville attends North/South weekend at Florence

Dustin Linville invaded Florence Speedway (Union, Ky.) on Thursday afternoon to kick off the 39th annual North/South 100 weekend with the North/South Shootout. Drawing 46 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries, Linville fell one spot short of a transfer position in his heat race before placing third in his B-Main. After damage from his consolation event forced him to start at the tail for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Dustin was an early exit on the second lap to save equipment for the remainder of the weekend. For a pair of heat races on Friday, Dustin came in fourth in the first round before placing eighth in his second heat.

With passing points relegating him into the B-Main on Saturday for one final shot at the $50,000-to-win North/South 100, Linville logged a seventh-place outing. Earning a spot into the $2,000-to-win Non-qualifiers feature, Dustin scored a fourth-place finish in the 30-lap affair.
