Bad luck surfaces in Iron-Man doubleheader

On Friday afternoon Dustin Linville returned to Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Ky.) to do battle with the Valvoline Iron-Man Series for the 23rd annual Pete Abell Memorial. With 24 cars entered, Linville laid down the fifth fastest qualifying lap before placing second in his heat. With $10,000 on the line in the feature, Dustin suffered a broken wheel early in the contest that sidelined him for the remainder of the evening. (Mark Schaefer photo)

For the Hall of Fame Classic on Saturday at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Ind.), Dustin posted a second-place finish in his heat, which positioned him fifth on the starting grid for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. He got caught behind a tangle while running in sixth that ended his night immediately.
