Eighth-place finish in North-South prelim at Florence Speedway

With 55 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries on hand, Linville laid down the sixth-fastest time in his group before wet weather axed the remainder of Thursday’s prelim.

The following night, Dustin laid down a solid qualifying lap but was penalized in tech afterwards for violating the droop rule. Following a ninth-to-fifth charge in his heat, Linville gained seven spots in the 25-lap preliminary feature to finish eighth.

On Saturday, Linville posted an eighth-place finish in his heat, relegating him into a B-Main for one last shot at the $75,000-to-win North-South 100. Needing to place second or better, Dustin logged an eighth-place outing.
