Linville scores Top-10 with World of Outlaws at Ponderosa Speedway
With a busy weekend of racing in his home state on tap, Dustin Linville traveled to Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Ky.) on Friday afternoon for the Johnny Mulligan Classic with the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series.
With 32 Late Models in the pits, Linville grabbed the fourth and final A-Main transfer spot in his heat race which placed him on the eighth-row for the main event. Battling with the best in the business, Dustin moved forward six positions to land inside the Top-10 in ninth.
With Saturday's original date washed out, Dustin made the short trip to Rockcastle Speedway (Mount Vernon, Ky.) on Sunday for the Tommy Lanham Memorial with the American All-Star Series.
Following the ninth-quickest lap in his qualifying group, Linville would earn a feature starting position with a third-place run in his heat. Starting towards the back in the $5,000-to-win feature, Dustin powered through the field to record his second Top-10 of the weekend in seventh.
