Linville secures Ultimate HoA championship with pair of Top-5 finishes at Richmond
Following the Ultimate Heart of America Series for their finale, Dustin Linville headed to Richmond (Ky.) Raceway for the two-day Bluegrass Nationals.
With 17 Late Models checked in for the tour's championship weekend, Linville recorded a runner-up finish in his heat race which placed him on the third row for the A-Main. Being in a heated points battle with Tristan Chamberlain, Dustin landed a Top-5 finish in the 40-lap feature with a fourth-place outing.
Holding a slim one-point lead over Chamberlain heading into the final event, Dustin qualified second-fastest and stormed to a heat race victory. Rolling off from the front-row in the $5,000-to-win finale, Linville remained inside the Top-5 during the 40-lap feature and landed on the podium in third. With Chamberlain finishing outside the Top-10, Dustin secured the $10,000 championship with the series.
